Dark cloud looming

It's Official!!!
I am soooo over school. Senioritis kicked in hard core as soon as I got back to school from Christmas Break. However, it has been useful for motivating me to get my stuff together for auditions. Oh my, I have to have a job after I graduate. YIIIKES! So if any of you have a friend of a well established rep company or is opening a new show, and pays exceptionally well, with benefits, give them my phone number. Oh wait...I'm a dancer! Those jobs don't exist. That's ok. I do what I love right?

I mean really....

Mom sent this email to me about her sketchy granddaughter's 4 year old birthday party....

"Well, I did go to Costco and to Saylem's birthdayparty at Chucky Cheese's where I just stood there andheld Trey who was feeling pretty bad. He was kind of feverish and had a really bad cough. Cecily ordered a Barbie birthday cake for Saylem. They bake the cake in a bowl and then turn it upside down and stick Barbie's feet and legs in it and it becomes her skirt. Then they put a frosting dress on the Barbie. So there were three teenage Chucky Cheese employees that were helping out with the birthday party. They were really nice, pleasant, clean-looking teens and they were really good with the kids. When it was time to cut and serve the cake, Cecily pulled the Barbie out of the cake. She just had plastic wrap around the legs and of course, it was transparent. Then Cecily said to Say.. ."Want to lick the frosting off the doll?" When she did, all the other kids wanted to lick the doll too. Cecily decided that was a bad idea with colds and flu running rampant so she just wiped the frosting off ofthe doll and laid it on the table while one of the teenage boys cut the cake and served it. Afterward, they boys were cleaning up and I was just standing around holding Trey while all the kids were off spending their tokens and playing games. When they got to the birthday cake, one of the boys said,"I don't know about this birthday party. . . . I mean really, a naked girl coming out of a cake?!?!?? And the other guy said, "Yeah, and then they all wanted to lick her. That's TOTALLY gross!" (They rolled their eyes dramatically like - "What's the world coming to!") I just thought it was so hilarious! It was all socompletely true and yet at the same time, so totally innocent. That's what made it so funny! Anyway - just wanted to send you something to smile or laugh about. Love, Mom"

Kids these days!

Stop. Think about it. Sha-Bam!

The title comes from one of me dearest friends at school. Usually he do some kind of choreography that comes along with it---ya know, a little catwalk, some vogueing, then a fling of the wrist. I love my very cute friends.
Speaking of school, it has been an interesting and busy year. I am a Resident Assistant in the Residence all where I live. The job is about 20-30 hours a week with summer and winter training. I'm required to check cleaning, act as a reinforcer of ResHall rules, to be "on duty" 1 or 2 times a week (which is generally is from 9pm-1am) and then plan Floor Programs 3 times a semester. Then I get to go school full-time!! This can be a bit difficult at times when school gets busy and I get tired of being a RA, but this allows me to stay in the larger single rooms without paying for it. It works out to be a pretty good deal, plus I get to build close friendships with my fellow RA's. We have fun.

I also have the privilege to work as a Community Service Fellow. Which means I go out into the community (mostly hospitals and hospices) performing with other students from Juilliard. We get together during the week to plan and perform every other weekend. It is the greatest job I could have. It helps to remind of why I love dancing so much, because believe it or not, I get tired of dance sometimes.

I fell in love with a wonderful man. His name is Nathan Botts and he plays the trumpet. He is an absolutely dedicated and accomplished, talented trumpet player. But more importantly he is an even more dedicated member of the church and is a worthy Priesthood holder. Just recently I went to visit his family in San Francisco without him. I think I scored some points there...

Well I think your tired of reading this blog. Maybe I'll try posting pictures. You like picture right? Me too. I'm just a very visual girl who-oooh look a blinking light!

Out of practice

How do I begin? I want to become better about writing in my blog, but I'm a little out of practice. I have had an eventful semester/year and am looking forward to whatever may come. Well, I can't lie...I am a little worried about what will happen after I graduate and how I will do out there in the REAL world. But I'd like to think that I will remain optimistic and take difficulty with courage. Heck! What doesn't kill me will only make me stronger. So if there isn't any bloodshed, I'm good to go.
